Easy Arnis ™ is a simplified form of Arnis which John Chow created as an introduction and preamble to the highly sophisticated art of Kalis Ilustrisimo.
In Easy Arnis ™, traditional practices and format of teaching have been streamlined and simplified, while retaining combat effectiveness. Learning and progression are thus accelerated and enhanced.
Easy Arnis ™ is specifically designed for modern people living in a fast pace hectic society with little time for learning and practice, who expect to be proficient within a short time. The goods must be delivered as soon as possible, or else the product is not worth it. Easy Arnis ™ is the answer!
Weapons of Easy Arnis
Easy Arnis teaches only the single stick as its weapon. However, a proficient practitioner of Easy Arnis ™ will be able to translate the single stick into empty hands and double sticks.
How is Easy Arnis taught?
Easy Arnis ™ has been designed to be taught in just a few lessons or seminars. Thus, it can be propagated easily and widely. It can also be easily taught via electronic media (video, CD). Anybody who purchases this book or its CD produced by the author will be entitled to a discount in class fees conducted by the author. Distance learning is also possible, and the student will be graded via video / CD.
Ranking and Progression in Easy Arnis
Because the lessons are simple and easy to learn, the students may progress through the ranks very quickly and become proficient quickly. In turn, they may become instructors to propagate Easy Arnis ™ while starting to learn traditional Arnis styles such as Kalis Ilustrisimo. Thus, Easy Arnis ™ is a very useful means of promoting Arnis.
It is not the aim of Easy Arnis ™ to replace traditional Arnis. All teachers and students of Easy Arnis ™ will be taught to respect traditional Arnis, and will be encouraged to learn traditional Arnis when they feel they are ready to.
