John Chow’s trip to Taipei June/July 2005

I arrived in Taipei on the night of 21 June 2005 and took an airport bus (Kuo Kuang) to the Taipei Main Railway Station.  From there,  I walked over to the Happy Family Hostel 2.

I saw and interviewed a number of Tai Chi Chuan masters and practitioners in Taipei.  Due to my time constraints,  I could not see every master,  but I am happy to write and comment briefly on some who I happen to have caught on camera.

Of all the teachers I saw,  I would recommend those below.

Please click on the following html links for details (pdf format).

Yang Jia Mi Chuan Tai Chi Chuan

Master Gao Yun Wu

Master Guo Zheng Fen

Master Lin Kuan Cheng

Master Wang Zhun Xiong

There are other teachers in Taipei,  but I did not have time to visit them.  I tried to call in on the Shr Jung Centre at Wu Chang Junior High School at 12 noon on a Sunday,  but there were not there.

I will seek out more good teachers during my next trip,  and maybe I will go to Tainan and Kaoshiung as well.
