Medical conditions that are treatable or relieved by Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung exercises

Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung are commonly used to treat or relieve the following health problems:-

 

Respiratory: sinusitis, bronchitis, asthma, frequent bouts of flu

 

Cardio-Vascular:
High or low blood pressure, chest pain, angina pectoris, poor circulation, cold limbs, cold body

 

Gynecological: PMS, cramps, menopause, irregular menstruation

 

Musculo-skeletal:  muscle pain and weakness, muscular spasm and tension, sciatica, back pain, neck pain, muscle cramping, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, disc problems, painful/stiff/frozen shoulder, tennis/golfer’s elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, joint pain, stiffness

 

Neurological:  headache, migraines, stroke

 

Pyschological:
insomnia, depression, anxiety, nervousness, stress

 

Sports Injuries:
knee/ankle sprains, muscular tears, muscular spasms, torn ligaments, traumatic/impact bruises

 

Digestive:
diabetes, constipation, gastric & duodenal ulcers, chronic indigestion, irritable bowels, constipation,


Others:
weight control, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic illnesses, post-surgery, general weakness

 

Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung are often used to enhance immunity, improve balance and bone density, enhance fitness and vitality, reduce stress, induce relaxation, improved muscle tone, regulate high blood pressure.

 

Due to its emphasis on deep breathing,  they are excellent for respiratory and cardiovascular conditions,  as well as cancer.  

 

Adding gentle movements or self-massage to deep breathing and relaxation assist in the body’s self-healing,  while allowing or the release of emotional stress.
