Yang Style Tai Chi Push Hands Workshops series

A series of comprehensive techniques and practices taking the student from mere novice level to advanced levels of proficiency. Suitable for all ages. Comprises 10 workshops:-

Tai Chi Staff

Practical stuff! No forms and twirling meaninglessly in the air! Learn how to apply the staff for self defence. The workshops take the student from beginners to advanced.

Introduction to the Quarter Staff   (Beginner Level)

Yang Style Tai Chi Staff of Lu Tong Bao   (Intermediate Level)

Yang Style Tai Chi Staff   (Advanced Level)

Vajra Bodhi Staff   (available to personal students of John Chow only)

 

 

Yang Style Tai Chi Boxing

The fast, aggressive, and yet subtle boxing method of Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan that is seldom seen in modern times. Develop speed, timing, distancing, evasion, flow, and footwork via applying tai Chi Chuan fighting techniques. Consists of 18 sections.

Section 1 workshop:  Punching, Lan Jiao Wei, Cross Hands, Pi Shen Cui, Ban Lan Cui

(The Tai Chi Boxing of the Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan taught by Master Rocky Kwong (formerly of Melbourne) is the same content as Section 1 of the Yang Style Tai Chi Boxing taught by Master John Chow)

Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan San Shou (Sparring Duet)

This 2 person set is a treasure of the Yang family Tai Chi Chuan.

Traditional Yang Style Tai Chi 2 Person Sparring Set         

 

 

Nei Gong (Internal Power)

To exercise the channels and sinews and to develop Internal Power in order to generate powerful strikes and withstand blows to certain parts of the body.
